In the event of a flood, fast and targeted action is necessary when it comes to setting up mobile flood protection measures. By means of the logistics simulation, scenarios can be simulated in order to determine how many emergency personnel and which equipment must be activated when and where in order to generate concrete deployment plans.

With the agent-based simulation model, not only different flood protection systems (sandbags, tubes, dam beams, ...) can be examined, but also different level courses of a possible flood wave can be simulated. In this way, procedures and the knowledge of how an effective response to the various flood scenarios are created. Thus, in case of emergency, it is possible to act quickly and optimally according to one's own possibilities (equipment, emergency forces, ...).
